Colleague and I both had a mild weatherchange migraine today and as we described our symptoms to each other laughing, the third colleague was like "that sounds horrible, how are you laughing? Why are you at work?!" Sometimes I forget that my painscale 2 is most peoples 5 or 6.

being horny all the time is annoying af btw. I like not being horny. I like not getting 9/10 painscale period cramps every month and feeling weirdly "womanly" but also moody and aggressive and getting water retention in my boobs as well, somehow.

Apparently I don't deserve an entire painfree week, got hit with a painscale 6-7 migraine 3 hours ago and the meds don't work.

AVOIDING TWO PITFALLS
When rating their pain, the most common mistake people make is overstating their pain level. That generally happens one of two ways:
Saying Your Pain is a 12 on a Scale of 0 to 10
While you may simply be trying to convey the severity of your pain, what your doctor hears is that you are given to exaggeration and he or she will not take you seriously.
2 Smiling and Conversing with Your Doctor, Then Saying That Your Pain Level is a 10
If you are able to carry on a normal conversation, your pain is not a 10 - nor is it even a 9, Consider the fact that natural childbirth (no epidural or medication) is generally thought to be an 8 on the pain scale. Just as with the first example, your doctor will think you are exaggerating your pain and that it’s probably not nearly as bad as you say.

Recently me and my friend have been discussing how if we follow the descriptions we have been under describing our pain by several steps. I would say I am at like a 2.5 maybe but if I read the descriptions it's around a 6. And the mistake is that I didn't realize it was a logarithmic scale.

The painscale chart from 1-10 with grimacing faces and descriptions of each level.

I found a pain app, called PainScale, that has a journal for pain levels, triggers, symptoms, treatments, etc and creates charts out of that data AND had articles on different conditions and pain management techniques and I really like it so far!
