God, I hate people who do the “dangerous pit bull” thing. It’s not backed up by data, anecdotal or (good) scientific, people don’t even agree on what counts as a “pit bull type!” You’re more likely to be attacked by a golden retriever, which *is* backed up by data, and I love them too.

Your pit bull is more than likely actually a mix, most of them are. Purebred pitbulls that kept the aggression they were literally bred for are another thing entirely.
