I think it’s the family angle in Succession that makes it interesting. The more rank and file corporate structure is harder for character development.
I think splatoon is the most enjoyable when not taken seriously. I realized a long time ago that not caring about my rank and just playing for fun drastically improved my mood while playing. S3 really suffers from the fact that they put the rank and power system on 90% of the modes in the game.

i fist reached s+ late august 2023, and x battles felt like a whole different game, so i only did my placements right before the season ended (1713.7 in zones). drizzle season '23 i clawed my way back to s+ after many failed rank-ups and ended rm at 1533.7 and clams at 1823.9
It finally happened: I'm shadow banned in X Rank SZ. The matchmaking did me extremely dirty to the point where it's straight up unable to find me a match. I've been queuing for the past 30 minutes straight & only found ONE MATCH. AGAINST DOUBLE SLIDER.
