Recon investigating #Hurricane#Milton indicates yet further rapid intensification. The XTRAP pressure has dropped another ~10 mbar to 914.4. They also found unflagged SFMRs of 177 knots but FL winds "only" support around 140 knots at the moment. The truth may lie somewhere in between

The rapid intensification phase of #Milton this morning has been well sampled by recon aircraft, with the pressure falling by several mb with each successive pass

Recon seems to be going back for one more pass through #Milton later this hour. Given continued clearing and warming of the eye I would not be surprised to see even lower pressures on their final pass
