The offy bit of the Tesco in Runcorn Shopping City in the 80s used to be completely separated off and only adults were allowed in. Made it very alluring.

The pedant in me has to point out that Runcorn is actually part of Halton, a Unitary Authority which has chosen to join the five metropolitan boroughs of Merseyside in the Liverpool City Region.

🌞 Pickerings Pasture this am. Kingfisher showed well at hide pool, & 2 little egret & 2 collared dove. Blue, great & LTTs, nuthatch & goldfinch at feeders. Canada geese on marsh. Noisy raven patrolling (carrying something?). Buzzards, kestrel, lots of teal, lapwing & pr shoveler at CLP. #UKbirding
This has just brought back buried memories of being stuck in traffic next to the Runcorn bridge for hours because someone was threatening to jump off it
The awareness of all kinds of stuff is great now. Simultaneously being in to Warrington-Runcorn New-Town Development Plan, Fatdog and going back to unearth stuff like Hybrid. It's a great time for electronic music.
