BLUE

The end of September. A Monday, again. The LIGHT at the turn of summer and autumn is warm and amiable. The blue dome is higher. Leaves turn to change colours, but the golden green seems eternal. It’s the best time of a year: my favourite, and not ‘one of’. An abundance in calm is in the air.

An old cyanotype, one of my favorites. The developer is almost dry brushed on with a foam brush and little shamrocks are the only plants used, there is a piece of striped tissue at the bottom that barely registers.

this was me last night. Needing lots of comfort. (The tea towel with shamrocks is surrounding an icepack I had on my knee)

my knee, with a tea-towel wrapped ice pack and a tiny plushie of Socks and of Muffin from Bluey, and in the foreground a "baby Garfield" plushie

On a light gray background:

On the left, a New England Patriots uniform inspired by the 1930s Boston Shamrocks of the AFL (a different league from the 1960s AFL) and the revolutionary period flag of New England. The design features a red jersey, pants and helmet. The jersey features white sleeves, collar, and numbers, while the pants include white back of leg stripes. The helmet features a white front panel with a small green pine tree. The socks are white with a single red stripe.

On the right, a New York Jets uniform inspired by 1930s football aesthetics and Dartmouth University's football helmet stripes. This uniform is all white, with a green helmet. The jersey features green shoulder yokes and numbers while the pants have green back of pants stripes. The helmet features two curving white stripes on each side inspired by contrails of jet planes. The white socks feature 4 green stripes each.
