Stormtroopers are like TIE Fighters. Accuracy doesn't matter, survival even less. Just send out enough of them and one of them is bound to get a lucky shot off.

The stormtroopers being unable to hit the broadside of a barn was a feature not a bug. In canon they were a bunch of conscripts given just enough training to understand what the business end of a blaster was.

I feel like the cast members in Galaxy's Edge have to be the ones who have the most fun in the entire resort. They made the insane experience that was the Rise of the Resistance line and preshows, and the stormtroopers get to be antagonistic with folks. It's so much fun!

it's worth noting that as far as i can tell, it DOESN'T actually work as a full disguise -- stormtroopers still alert when you're near, but the outfit makes your wanted level go down quicker, so it passes a quick "hey who's that" spot check glance
