Itās a small rifle. It was useful for hunting white tailed deer (my ex had a ranch that had an endless supply of them). We took only does and spikes for population control. (Left unchecked, they tended to starve to death due to overpopulation.) We ate all that we killed.
Opened the weeks upcoming eventš§µ by marking the 48th year since the October 6th Massacre at Thammasat university in Thailand & tailed it with the news that Bung was posthumously awarded the Charupong Thongsin Award for Democracy. There are some good webinars & exhibitions happening too...
I really enjoyed Scotland: The New Wild on BBC Two tonight, epic footage of wonderful wildlife and habitats. I especially enjoyed the Red Deer, Otter, Razorbills, Guillemots and Puffins, Short-eared Owl and White-tailed Eagle, pieces. A nice look at the great seagrass work too.
Kobi and I saw this and I was surprised that the original story was about a 9 tailed fox and now I'm honestly wondering if there aren't more European stories with multi-tailed foxes or if this is an oddball or orphan from a lost folklore tradition, or something that filtered in from East Asia.
