Who loves Gray Treefrogs? 🙋🏾♀️ I find it pretty amazing that frogs can survive Canadian winters. 😍🐸
Moving things off the back porch pre #hurricaneHelene#treefrogs#frogs were hiding behind the pottery.
Having treefrogs in common is very good ♥
Right now - the little patch of 4' tall "weeds"at the bottom of my porch steps are home to several toadlets, at least 3 baby Squirrel Treefrogs (and a couple of adults), several hatchling Anoles, a hatchling Black Racer, and a 2' Racer (probably hatched summer '02) who is hunting all of them.
I learned some time ago that many treefrogs exhibit paternal care behavior. Female treefrogs of these species prefer to mate with males with many healthy eggs in many developmental stages because good dads are sexy. To frogs, anyway. But I'm sure this strategy is working great for these Gen X men?
I had two Whites Treefrogs, super chill and easy to take care of. Highly recommend
