I like it when Alfred trips the penguin with a broom fall in a bin. I just don't like when they make him the queen's secret assassin in a past life.

Anyway, this has reminded me of Tom Waits' anecdote about volunteering to take his kids & classmates on school trips b/c he had a huge car and how NOBODY at the music store recognised him at all, but everyone at the dump did. interview at 3:40 youtu.be/oi_uUw60uGo?...

Yeah, it's a special rod class. I could use it on one river in the Northeast for larger migratory trout but since I don't take long trips to salmon rivers anymore, as they have ecological problems, eight-weight single-handers are the heaviest rods I need.

I can’t even give students sunscreen or lotion at school or on school trips. Students cannot self-carry medications w/out several signed forms from parents & sometimes a doctor. This includes cough drops. This is a ridiculous scare tactic that anyone capable of critical thinking can see through.

Nah. Friend has three. She rides them (and does pack trips once in a blue moon - mostly just likes mules.) The old one, 34, has a swollen sheath and I was the second pair of hands.

“It’s my business to know everyone here. When a face doesn’t fit with the rest, I can spot it. My hunting trips are also scouting trips, and the perimeter gets wider every week. Already left two raiders for the bloatflies because they got too close.”

This is just so sad. Our family always had an atlas. We went on road trips and would pull out maps to talk about where we were going (even when we inevitably too the exact same route as the year before). I got a globe for my b-day in 1989 (so it was still all USSR-ed). I wish maps were more common

My practice for short trips is to find a large bottle of SmartWater at the airport before take off. I go through ~11oz a night, so a 36oz bottle is good for a 3-night trip That said, St Lucia, Curaçao, UK, and Japan have all been easy. Only Indonesia has been a challenge (I'm using bottled water)
