I had considered establishing an NPO to promote urushi in Japan, but I gave up due to various challenges. Instead, I now have a feeling that it might be better to create a global organization. As far as I know, one doesn’t exist yet.

As a Japanese person, I usually write in Japanese in my daily life. I use many kanji characters. The kanji that represents the meaning of "urushi" is written as "漆". The left side of this character, 氵, indicates "something watery". The right side depicts the image of sap dripping from a tree.
