As a Japanese person, I usually write in Japanese in my daily life. I use many kanji characters. The kanji that represents the meaning of "urushi" is written as "漆". The left side of this character, 氵, indicates "something watery". The right side depicts the image of sap dripping from a tree.

I am very satisfied when I can see the meaning of a kanji from its radicals like 串 or 休 or 聞 (Food on a stick, person leaning against a tree, ear under a gate) 漆 is like this! Tree on top with water underneath a roof, like dripping. These are easy for me to remember! 卵 is not like this!
