People think of the pandemic as having been going on for nearly 4 years. Yes, it has. But the mass repeat infection experiment has only really been going for 1¾ years. And its effects are only just starting to truly show.

Things are going to get worse.

New Zealand was late to the mass repeat infection party. Our leaders looked overseas, saw the collapse, and went “she’ll be right” and blindly followed.

Our family of 5 have all caught it for 1st time via school (last week of term) and the platitudes of "it's inevitable" are shitting me. We did all the personal things in a rigged system. And I almost wish I were like the oblivious masses and didn't know what this infection means for us all.

Heard parent of kids at primary school coughing today & thought how tough that is - now kids are back at school, the family will have regular Covid - this is how it will be going forwards, a downhill spiral of the health of all the family including the grandparents.
