It sounds like the early days of the "Big data revolution". As time progressed, people/ scientists realized that Big Data (as many data) can be biased and not representative of entire populations... I just wonder how long it will take for AI believers to reach that point.

Ask any of these CEOs if AI could replace THEIR jobs, for a start. If it can do all these things, why not run a company? And which is the first CEO who will step down and give AI a shot?
It'll be 7-12 years away for decades, meanwhile this alf baked tech will be embraced by repressive regimes, law enforcement, military, corporate bean counters, etc., people who just need an excuse they can point to for doing the shitty things they've always wanted to do.
