Sounds like my PhD. It's really not taught, and it's so hard to know who you can turn to.

The irony is that it WAS taught; but was gradually dropped from the undergraduate curriculum in the 1990s and 2000s. In 1989, at PNL the mandatory first year course included Excel, Access, Hypercard and Word.
