There is a lovely Icelandic expression for pins and needles (the tingling sensation after your foot goes numb) – stjörnur í skónum. It means “stars in your shoes”
Splendid! We call it "mravenčení" = like having ants running through that part of a body.
That's so lovely!
In French it's "des fourmis dans [insert body part]". Ants in the foot, ants in the leg, ants in the hand, and so on.
That's even better than the Norwegian for "A shiver down my spine," or maybe "Gives me goosebumps".. we say "I get dust in my body".
Oh I do love that.
