I'm sorry. This is my level of amusement today.

It’s #breastcancerawarenessmonth . I want to remind people how important it is to go for screening -it finds cancer before you’ve any idea it’s there. After age 70 you won’t get automatic invites for screening BUT you can still have them. Your local screening centre will be very happy to see you.

Hey people. If you are outraged that #bbcradio4#TheArchers podcast, how about just switching off the radio & doing something more interesting?

This episode of #InOurTime is splendid in its total incomprehensible-ness. So worm holes may or may not exist, and they are bubbles not holes or tunnels, and we don’t know where we would come out. And they’d have to be kilometres wide for us to find them. And and and. Yikes.

Well it looks like I may have a complete draft of my thesis. Not exactly how I planned the final stages to happen but we are where we are. Massive editing job awaits. Wish me luck and strength #PhD

Sherwood. Can I be bothered to watch the last 3 episodes? So far I’ve been totally underwhelmed.

Out with the UV torch last night looking for fluorescing caterpillars, and found this Eyed Hawk-moth caterpillar, covered in cocoons of a parasitic wasp, whose larvae will already have done for the caterpillar by feeding on its organs, before emerging to pupate. Fascinating, but poor caterpillar!

Sad to report I’ve had to stop reading this beautifully written, fascinating facts-packed book BUT the details of going underground bring out my terror of caving & fear of getting stuck. Anyone else given up a great book for similar reasons? Is Robert Macfarlane on here - wld like to apologise

Anyone know what “being proud of British history” actually MEANS?
