i'd agree, esp considering his environment and how he was shaped as a person, such vulnerable emotions to him would feel foriegn and sometimes i imagine due to that it may feel like a 'threat' to who he currently has masked himself as (not sure if i made a right description of that tbh)
i feel like the somewhat 'starvation/need for control' esp for someone like him plays a major role too, tho i imagine when he does truly cry its lonely, basically empty as the tears shed down his face and his expression still as he does so, numb
into a fixed mindset that helps 'rationalize' or validate in an almost twisted way is (ex: 'whats the point of crying over smt so obvious/inevtiable?', 'it would have happened anyways, its no use to cry ; i should have expected this ;'its deserving for someone like me', etc)
honestly i'd also love to see you make an aventurine playlist! would def check it out. Although rare, i feel like Aventurine can still cry (tho again, rarely. i feel like he would be utterly avoidant/quickly rationalize his own thoughts before he even lets himself shed a tear, somewhat relapsing—
