This is exactly my interpretation of the euphemism “exoeriencing homelessness”: the possibility you might encounter a homeless person in public. And even my friends who saw me through that 10 years keep forgetting that many homeless people such as myself don’t do street drugs & are not psychotic.
It's very easy to solve this problem. House the unhoused! Stable housing helps with addiction recovery! But people don't like that solution either.
How infuriating. I used to love getting the Bluestockings catalog and found some really interesting things in it - I had no idea it was a brick-and-mortar store.
