I’ve had doctors be like: well, hey! At least it isnt shortening your life! And i don’t know how to express how shitty that feels to hear

It’s so hard to get people to understand that isn’t providing the comfort they think it is. It’s basically like saying “buck up you’re going to be suffering for decades”.
