Banning Conversion therapy was in the works since 2006 when I was involved in Rainbow Labour. That Shaneel Lal then proclaimed themselves as the “one” that got it banned was offensive and highly dismissive of all the groundwork done by those earlier.

I’m pretty relaxed about who claims success. The Greens do it to Labour all the time 😂 Shaneel has done a lot of advocacy and they’ve taken a lot of flak. But you’re right, it was the work of MANY folk over many years and I’m so grateful to you and Rainbow Labour for everything you did and do 🌈❤️
