We did this. When we saw the writing on the wall in March 2023 for a change of govt due to inter alia National running a slogan campaign with no policy, we jumped across in Nov 2023. Didn’t want to fall behind again as 18 years of Nat govt has always done to NZ, after inching ahead under Labour.

And we aren’t renters. Bought in 2008 with a 105% mortgage. Struggled until 2017 due to punitive Nat policies suppressing wages. Was $80/w better off in 2023 thanks to Labours universalism. Nats scrapped all that. Much better off in Brisbane. But house isn’t selling so will be renting it out.
