At the dark stand I saw this beautiful vegetable and asked about it. “That? That’s a cauliflower broccoli hybrid we found growing in between the cauliflower and the broccoli. We’re not sure what to do with it.” They sold it to me for 3.00. “You going to plant it?” Me: “I’m going to eat it.”

A cauliflower broccoli hybrid that looks like a pale green cauliflower but not the classic one with spirals, seated on a wooden cutting board.

I’m pretty sure that’s just romanesco — yes, it’s a cauli-broccoli hybrid, but it’s better than either. Excellent roasted as folks have been suggesting, it also makes a wonderful pureed soup.

I have a feeling maybe you meant "farm stand" but "dark stand" suggests that this mystery crucifer may have powers beyond our ken

Roast it in olive oil with some garlic cloves, salt, pepper… eat. If you want to have other stuff, make some rice in a rice cooker & pan fry some salmon?

Are you going to tell us what you did with it?

He was a broccoli, she was a cauliflower. Everyone said their love could not last.
