on a serious note i think the point of TDOV is to share our stories not for cis people to cry over but so our siblings in waiting can see themselves in our reflections. trans people: quote this with a feeling you had before coming out that you thought you were alone in feeling

I watched Ouran High School Host Club, and really related to Haruhi, an AFAB who I think would be considered genderfluid in today's terms. She had one line about "I don't really care if you see me as a guy or a girl" and I was like "YEA! I don't really care about being seen as a guy, either!"

this is really blowing up and i’m so proud of all of you and if you aren’t out or don’t know if you’re trans but you relate to any of these posts, we’re here for you. i’m here for you. there’s love and acceptance on the other side

Our daughter came out at the end of middle school, a hellish time for finding and displaying your identity if you’re different. Other students probably didn’t mean to be hurtful, but it was a new thing for our area. Now, post-college, 6 others from that class are trans. Path established! Lead on.

I was still attracted to women (to the point where I thought "well, what if I'm a trans lesbian, a "transbian"") and everything i had read about transsexuals before that had basically said "no, you have to be with men after transitioning, you're not allowed to be with women"
