#LateNightWrite Lastak's sort of using selfish motivations (wanting to be well known enough to be noticed when she disappears, which in translates to a lot of issues) as a coping mechanism. She does not share a lot because she is paranoid about being discovered and dragged back to where she's from.

#LateNightWrite Yes, it's a world after all and some people will be greedy. The economy of the country where the story takes place in is mostly agriculture-based, though there is trading and manufacture. Being a gigantic country helps with it being mostly self sufficient.

#LateNightWrite Yes. A major driver of the plot is the economics around working as a mage. There's the politics aspect as well, which I would say has a component of greed (for power and resources).

Times weren’t better back then. You were just in your carefree youth and are missing that time now. We tend to claim that music, fashion, TV, and society peaked when you were in your teens. It’s not the world it’s you that you are melancholic about.

#LateNightWrite A lot of different things. One is the geopolitical situation that I wanted. There's also all the environments I wanted to explore. Also it gives me an excuse to just worldbuild random stuff for fun (like the moons which I'm working on right now).
