The Georgia Supreme Court reinstated the Georgia six week abortion ban. This is why I was really irritated last week with the journalists who were reporting that the Georgia ban was repealed. It was not repealed. It was struck down. And that ruling was always going to be reversed on appeal.

The judge basically said (in an opinion dripping with contempt) that he fully expected it to be overturned.

That said, Yes it sucks that the ban was reinstated. But it is still critical that a Republican-appointed judge found a right to abortion in the state constitution in the way that he did.

NPR said that. But they lied.
