God, the animation is so damn good. I hate to be an old man yelling at various clouds, but I really miss this era. We took it for granted.

Gargoyles was a fantastic animation. I too miss the days of this type of animation. I was always miffed with how cheap the flash style animation looked when it started to trend in the late '00s

This was the era they made these series at a loss so they could sell cable packages. Not to say they couldn't do the same thing to sell subscription services. *eyeroll*

Gargoyles is an evergreen series to me. It is still fantastic to watch because the story is fantastic and engaging and the animation was top-tier. Add in all the top quality voice actors like Keith David, Ed Asner, Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis. I miss the 90s animation renaissance.

I predict eventually it will return. Someone will have to notice that people miss it eventually. Right?

90s animation was fantastic, but especially the animation in the first 5 episodes of Gargoyles were above the usual TV quality because it was actually animated for the movie release, with the initial 5 episodes being what is the equivalent of an extended cut of the movie.

It´s so expressive and they look alive. I miss this animation style.

I'm happy to yell at those clouds with you any day. I love this style of animation so much. Gargoyles had fantastic character design to boot, where it felt like they really did their homework on all the mythological elements and treated them respectfully. For a kids show, that is just top tier.

Maybe they just went all out because this is from the pilot, but this is exactly as well animated as their 90's movies are. Gargoyles is beautifully animated.
