This is so different than how I interpreted the one they showed me when I was having my first go-round with tmj pain. I wonder in retrospect if the fact that what the scale they showed led me to call a 1 and this would call a 4 or maybe 5 would have changed how they treated me. Sigh.

And this is why I’ve never been able to use these scales. Pure numbers are so subjective! Words are closer to parity, though my 5 and Katrina’s 5 using this table would absolutely still be different levels of pain.
