Imagine having a stroke and wanting to go home but your insurance company is saying you don't need to walk safely, learn how to dress yourself, and swallow without aspirating..and there is nothing your rehab team can do about it. This week has not been great.

The most exhausting part of working in healthcare isn’t the patients. It’s far from the patients. It’s that best practice and staff are no longer up to the people practicing medicine and nursing. Instead we’ve left it to religious zealots and judges and extremist lawmakers and moneymakers
