It’s either this, a small tear in the dimensional fabric of the universe, or the Fae! 🧝♂️ I too think about that potato very often, I’m sorry to have burdened you with the mystery as well 😂
What’s interesting is that here we have “King’s Quoit” and a bit further down the coast at Stackpole there is a standing stone called the “Devil’s Quoit” - the dichotomy seems so intentional, I wonder if there is some interesting folklore or legend that connected them? 🤴🧲👹
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG
Yes! I love the costumes in HotD, I know it’s not for everyone’s taste I love the way they straddle historic accuracy and fantasy. And the way the costumes even sound when they move, you know when it’s real leather, steel, etc. It makes such a huge difference!
Or they could be something like this, a replica I bought from a living history market recently - it’s difficult to tell if Rhea’s buckles have plates or not, but the attention to detail is cool in any case 👌
The inscription on the amphora translates to "The flower of Scaurus' mackeral garum from the factory of Scaurus."
Oh that seems at once lovely, and terrifying 😂 hopefully you were well rested and hydrated by the time they started their performance!
A general nickname! I came across the door walking my dogs and thought it looked like something from LotR. Googled it, and sure enough, it’s rumored that he was inspired by it!
That’s fascinating, thank you so much 😍
