the press loves interviewing guys named like “geoff in dayton” who is “an undecided voter who retired from the welding business and now runs a local civic organization” - and then 5 seconds on facebook tells you he’s never voted dem, was an accountant at a steel multinational and runs the local klan

IT'S A PARK! Whatever, it's better than the viaduct which was an eyesore ready to fall down and crush us all at any moment. We can just have nice things they don't have to make money!! Life can just be nice! (angry pterodactyl screeching) www.kuow.org/stories/will...

Seattle's new waterfront park applauded by first visitors. But will it fulfill its economic potential?

The long-awaited Overlook Walk opened Friday, linking the Pike Place Market to Seattle's renovated waterfront. Over the weekend, thousands of visitors experienced it for the first time.

I've been saying all along that I don't trust the polling, it doesn't match reality. Remember 2016, when the polls were tied right up until election night even though reality said Hilary was wildly unpopular? I'm not saying we should all relax, but I don't trust the polls.

I got into a talk with friends about how annoying anti-"woke" discourse is in video games and accidentally dropped the mic. "Some dudes got told the princess was in another castle and never got over it."

Some of these people have lost more than my savings AND my debt COMBINED. And I bought a house this year! And look, I'm not saying they didn't earn their money or whatever, but maybe at a certain point in your life you just hire an accountant to watchdog it and get on with living comfortably?

I was typing "almost" and made it "almoist". ALMOIST. I don't have issues with the word "moist" but I'm finding that particular presentation fairly revolting, so now I'm sharing it with the world. You're welcome.

PUBLIC LIBRARY IS METAL AF This silly idea has been in my head for years but I finally got around to making it this week. Available on a variety of shirt styles and colors on my threadless shop. danielsolis.threadless.com/designs/publ...

A black and white graphic that looks like a heavy metal festival poster with gothic, distressed typography typical of death metal bands. However, the headliner is Public Library and all the "bands" are actually services you can find at many public libraries, such as internet access, voter registration, and more.
