It’s so funny and noticeable how only left leaning spaces get called “echo chambers.” Only left wing people get told we need to learn to see other people’s perspectives and understand their motivations. Do conservatives want to be understood, or do they want to dominate conversations?

There's a lot to this. Folks inevitably live their lives inside a mentally-constrained model of what society *is*; what it can do; how it changes. For most folks, war, civil unrest, depositism, mass-detentions etc are things that happen to other people on the same screens that you watch fiction on.
It’s much for difficult for dems but possible for them to find something that breaks through, like “weird”. They’re in the tank for Trump but they do still respond to incentives when attacks like that drop, which causes them to repeat the attacks over and over while complaining that they aren’t fair
