Hi @vcampanacho.bsky.social‬! So this legal battle happened ages ago - in the 1870s. The 'type set' is in Lisbon & next most complete set in Britain, & so on. While I haven't seen these collections mentioned specifically, they are of course part of larger debates occurring on specimen repatriation.

Give our Speak4Nature accounts a follow on all social media platforms! The project will develop new socio-legal instruments and methodologies to provide a theoretical and operational basis for asserting the voice of non-human nature in social and legal instances 🏔️✨

So unbelievably pleased to be able to review a book I've found totally inspiring and helpful as I begin to write my own. The third review is for my friend @lachlanfleetwood.bsky.social@bshsnews.bsky.social#envhist#envhum#histsci

Oh wow, chapter three on immigration is a terrific suggestion. I'm trying to incorporate a little bit more contemporary material and this is perfect. Thank you!

This is incredible! I had no idea you could do this... I've changed the dates in it to have a look at botanists in the early nineteenth century and it's actually extremely helpful. Thanks for sharing!
