Scott Allie taking over the writing on BPRd is like a malignant outgrowth of a creeping chronic infection: he’d been editing them the whole time, while being actively controlling and abusive to other Dark Horse staff. Added insult to injury when it turned out he was an absolutely dogshit writer

Agree on both of those - BPRD was the best monthly comic in the business for a pretty long stretch and the creator switch near the end is catastrophic (aesthetically and kinda morally too)

I haven’t watched it yet, but I’ve been sort of curious about the Mignola documentary, and whether Scott Allie is in it. Because he’s a pretty critical part of the story, but not one that reflects well on anyone involved
