since the beginning of this genocide, I have been thinking about the medical parallels between the conditions in Gaza and the American Civil War. for @thenation.comwww.thenation.com/article/worl...
Gaza's doctors are frequently working in conditions not seen since before the Civil War.
July 4th is very rough on my dog (he is a royalist and considers George Washington a traitor)
just watched 74 people speaking at least a dozen different languages become american citizens in a ceremony at monticello, where the speakers were themselves children of immigrants. inspiring stuff and a vivid illustration of what reactionaries want to snuff out
this entire crusade against diversity in hiring and admissions is based on the supposition that all white men are necessarily more qualified than any nonwhite person or woman who might be considered for the job. like, this lawsuit more or less states that outright.
The lawsuit, filed by a prominent attorney, alleges the university’s law school gives hiring preference to women and people of color.
many things make me angry about the supreme court but one of the biggest things is just that none of those cowards in the gang of six will ever take real questions from the public
im on the biden should drop out train - not only because of the genocide enabling - but this 5 days of discourse you cannot recover from. when members of your party, including elected officials & the media - entertain the idea of you dropping out - thats going to come up over and over again.

sorry for inactivity but wanted to share my article from today in The New Republic. about the republican attacks on the administrative state and the dire impacts this could have on public health in the US. all sorts of regulations and processes are under threat. newrepublic.com/article/1807...
He and his allies are planning to “deconstruct” the administrative state by stripping its power and forcing out tens of thousands of workers. That will put all of our lives at risk.
I think some of Biden's hardcore supporters believe he will win and there will be a DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN moment but that is pure fanfic. he is historically unpopular for many reasons, lost the youth vote for enabling a genocide & now this disastrous performance. its not happening
