An opinion I feel should be universal at this point: All indoor public spaces (but especially schools, workplaces, and medical facilities) should be subject to air quality regulations and continuous monitoring and CO2 and particulate concentration numbers should be accessibly displayed.

They dug up a huge chunk of London to improve the water systems that eradicated cholera etc. Building regs & legislation for Legionnaires Disease. Why not invest clean air? Improved health outcomes & also protects from future pandemics & all airbourne pathogens. Lower Co2 levels good for health too.

Wholeheartedly agree. In a way not unlike the thermometers on the chillers and freezers at grocery stores. Me day I notice the chiller for the meat was malfunctioning as temp gage showed 12C I didn’t buy the chicken and I alerted customer service. More eyes the better.

The freedom and peace of mind this relatively simple and inexpensive measure would give me and my family! Some indoor spaces have great ventilation — show the public that.

totally. with govt incentive programs. Always wondered why (& maybe know the reason why), restaurants, coffee shops, & the like wouldn't use air qual/monitoring as marketing... 'Come visit us! we keep CO2 at safe levels' 'we care about our staff and patrons!!' . I mean, I would consider going.

While the aim is noble, the means is not right You can't get 800- ppm with low consumption unless you destroy 99.9% of building stock. Just not the way it works Air should be safe But you need a different mix: filtered ventilation, hepa & upper-room UVGI This gives safety, today, everywhere

choosing to vape in the 2030s because its no worse than breathing the air

I would’ve appreciated this long before covid. We’ve known lousy IAQ can affect allergies, asthma and sinus trouble for years. There’s a reason schools have always been super spreaders. What you’re proposing should be a no-brainer.

Yes please!

I have three CO2 monitors, and will never NOT have one on me when I travel. In 2022 I learned that high CO2 levels in the car make me drowsy. We experimented during a three-day drive, and yeah, small sample, no control, etc, but we pretty conclusively determined it's CO2, not temperature.

There wouldn't be a court centre in the UK or USA that would pass!
