i think my understanding of what a "big jump" was was definitely lower than 40, like...maybe in the 15-20 range. i was also doing the job search intensely last year and based on that i thought i understood what the upper bound of compensation looked like for me...and it was definitely not 40 haha
just accepted a job offer with a 40% pay raise lol...didn't even know that type of jump was possible. it's also an opportunity in many ways for explosive career growth and sets me on a trajectory i never thought i'd attain. still feels fake. still surprised i landed this somehow.
tahoe! glad i got to come back here so soon. knocked off mt tallac while i was here - another trail i have been meaning to finally check off the list. and now i have to go home and leave the mountains, which is always so very hard for me~
yeah i was actually a bit nervous leading up into this trip because it was a bit late in the season and rain starts picking up again around this time. but the weather ended up being just the best haha
yosemite! finally got to conquer half dome too after a few years of trying to get permits, so it feels great to check that off the list finally. definitely one of the hardest things i’ve ever done lol, the cables portion requires way more upper body strength than i was expecting
