I read a lot of both fiction and non-fiction, but fiction is the most enjoyable. I want to some day write a book, though! I very much am. I am even luckier that the familiars that watched over it accepted me and my care so willingly. They help me do right by them and the library both.

I suppose that weddings, which are a public ritual joining of partners where friends and family alike are witness, and which are often touted as 'the most important day of a girl's life', would make more sense. But it's not *just* those.

In real life, even the most dramatic of teens is unlikely to do much more than throw a punch or a rock unless there is some form of social bullying or mass rejection going on. Trying to kill someone is very, very uncommon. But not only that, it's a theme in stories with adults, too! ++

If it were *just* proms it happened at, I would assume it's a mixture of the fact that teenagers are highly dramatic and *everything* feels like a big deal when your whole life is school and spending time with other teenagers, and plain pettiness. But it's frankly quite a lot even then? ++

Proms are events held in a country called America, where all of the students of a high school dress up in fancy clothing and go to dance. I'm told it's a very important-seeming thing at the time, but even a couple years later you don't really care all that much. ++

That's the strange part! They're not! They are often mass-produced, which is how someone can have an identical dress in the first place! I suppose there's the fact that they're sometimes expensive, and it's common for the events to be proms, which I'll explain in a moment, but it's so senseless!

Yes. It happens in high-drama works. Usually between girls who consider each other rivals, usually either rivals for a third person's love or social rivals. I don't completely get it. If someone wore the same dress as me I would happily compliment our shared good taste!

Oh drat, I wondered if that would be a bit much... It's a common occurrence in various forms of media, and often ends in two people trying to kill each other. I don't think that happens in real life though. I'm fairy positive you'll be fine. You're competent, and he's such that you noticed.

I hope trouble stays home for once. The sheer number of times you two show up to the same party wearing the same dress by pure chance is deeply concerning. I hope that you and Mr. Joris have an enriching, but ultimately fairly safe journey with as few animal bites as possible.

That is correct. You are actively requested to not go further than you feel reasonably safe. You are also requested to not go in depth into any caves so that if a search party is sent out it's not as difficult to find you.
