The decline in Twitter engagement since a certain takeover has been shocking - which is bad for someone who struggles to get their books seen any other way - but the inability to promote here due to no hashtags has actually been nice. I can just post cat pictures and spout nonsense. Liberating.

Can l suggest you post about your books. One of the joys of blue skies is the art, photography and book reviews. I have bought two books this week based on conversations. Be engaging, explain your topic and your tribe will find you. 📚

This is probably a major reason I dislike hashtags. They also make reading something annoying especially if it's a giant block of them, more those than actual content.
