Cooking. Making something gives you some sense of control.
Music helps me best. I find that nothing can help shift my mood quicker than listening to a ton of music that I love. It allows me to work through all of my emotions while focusing on something I deeply enjoy. I almost always feel better after. Sometimes even energized.
This may sound incredibly dumb, but I find meditating before I go to sleep can sometimes help lift my mood.
Take my dog on really long walks and try to listen to albums I like a lot, this week has been a long one forsure in that regard.
Therapy, medication, self-care.
Surround myself only with people who replenish me and cancel anything with people who drain me. Give myself more time than usual for tasks that MUST be done. Take a shower as often as I can and give myself permission to take it easy. Not trying as hard helps me cope in the worst of it. *hugs*
