I’m simple in that I am happy with “thank you!” and it is surprising how many people wont even bother with that after you spend time answering them in detail. I’ve been ghosted by a fair amount of people after giving them info and it makes me less likely to give it.

Its the expectation you will GIVE an answer and not that it's an offer. Folks will realize when people get tired of being dispensers and go back to hording secrets like dragons not for fear of replacement, just cause people have no dang manners lol

I am the same; just say thanks nobody wants to feel like ppl don't care cuz now the well is dry or whatever, it's weird
