I marinade it overnight I’ll also inject it I Like experimenting , anything from Orange juice to pineapple juice works well also this time I also may do things different I may put it on the smoker for a couple hours right in the Dutchoven lid off grab some smoke then finish cook with lid on 👍🏻👍🏻😎

Worked with anesthesiologist years ago who would inject whole turkey with white wine, minimum 800 mls, then smoke it. Have also baked ham in an orange craft beer that was delicious. Experimenting is what keeps the juices flowing.😎
