These little girls must be in their 20s, and I often wonder what their life is like now. There were so many children there, and they were happy and thriving. It was an act of ethnic cleansing. It was and act of cultural genocide. I was at Dale Farm for a month before the eviction. I still miss it.

Its always stuck with me that they knew who their allies were. Were they completely baffled by a bunch of queers and trans people and squatters and anarchists turning up to defend them? Sure. But did they accept us, and care for us, and love us because we did the same for them? Absolutely. 100%
