looking back on this, I find in this something really meaningful since ultimately this also carries a christological meaning - liturgy is meaningful b/c it is in itself a direct encounter with the Word, which is both unchangeable and relevant so in a sense liturgy is also a kind of resourcing

This is the fundamental problem with modern Charles Xavier. Xavier *should* be about reconciliation and moral witness - because the character's moral authority has been rendered totally vacuous, he can only be treated as a bit of a farce.
