looking back on this, I find in this something really meaningful since ultimately this also carries a christological meaning - liturgy is meaningful b/c it is in itself a direct encounter with the Word, which is both unchangeable and relevant so in a sense liturgy is also a kind of resourcing

I think sometimes people do fall into limiting, chronological narratives abt the liturgy - certain time periods are sort of presented as the unchangeable ideal (including the present, post-Vatican II era)
