Everywhere you go without wearing an n95 is a place you’ve decided disabled people don’t belong. Disability justice is necessary for all other forms of liberation, as disability most impacts marginalized groups— BIPOC, trans, poor, etc. Get free masks and/or donate to mutual aid near you:
My nurses never do.
My own experience is that the vast majority of people can not understand or will not acknowledge that a mask can be worn to protect another person. Apparently to them the only reason they would wear a mask is to protect themselves or if forced to do so under duress.
More on mask blocs & action groups: They provide free tests & masks, often including mask sampler packs to help you find the n95-type mask for your specific needs! Size, shape, hair texture, sensory needs, etc matter. If you can mask, do so. Protect disabled folks including those who CANNOT mask.
Shit…my own nurses wear them sporadically.
