yes it can compound. Im really just saying that cherry picking from new measures pertaining to li-ion battery hazards is not what is driving costs when compared to the hazard. look up the horrific numbers of property loss, injury, and death related to micro mobility (scooter) fires in NYC. its bad.

Im not sure that picking on the BESS chapter is exactly sporting. its a rapidly changing technology that far exceeds the pace of code committees or listing standards and there isn’t enough testing data to know perfectly what the consequences are, hence consensus approach.
