i hate when video games advertise “your choices matter” as a feature. my choices matter in real life and it’s nothing but trouble. i’ve had enough

"Your choices matter" uuuuh, yeah, every game lets me choose whether I live or die, whats so special about the choices you give me? Oh, they're references to contemporary political issues that the devs don't really understand? How enlightened 🙄

More video game stories should be tragedies. If my choices matter, I want to be my own downfall or played by fate.

if a game makes your choices matter it better have a “time travel jump to story nodes” mechanic like radiant historia or zero escape

I enjoy currated experiences where the story is amplified via game desgin and gameplay.
