The problem is that most people I know already agree with me. I have donated some money to campaigns and I've sent some post cards to encourage voting against the Fascists.
Not feeling great that a presidential candidate has clearly made the calculation that explicit fascism is his best chance to win and like 46 percent of the country seems to be saying he’s right

I'm still working on a paper about how to deal with synchrotron radiation as Gaussians including when passing through apertures. I've spent a long time tracking Gaussian electron beams and then photon beams. Not having a job, it's hard to keep pushing this, but I suppose it's good to finish things.
I certainly found it difficult to live in France, though I had somewhat adjusted to life, culture, work and language there after 8 years.
