I’ve probably listened to Cheap Trick at Budokan more than any live album of the decade and that version of “I Want You to Want Me” is so ingrained in my mind.

Eddie & the Cruisers (and the sequel) sucked. The Philadelphia Experiment sucked. Michael Paré seemed to be one of those people who was someone’s ideal of a handsome man in the mold of far better actors and that was enough qualification to put him in movies; a blank slate—emphasis on “blank.”

There wasn’t much else on teevee that night and we couldn’t pick up ABC.

Part of me was hoping Curt’s sole musical was going to be Stop the Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off!

In the Seventies, the networks had no problem with giving us teevee horror films that sometimes felt like they were the vector of generational trauma.

I was probably watching part two of Quiet as a Nun on Mystery! instead of this. I didn’t watch it till last year despite it being infrequently on teevee in the years since and was left unimpressed but it was a very ‘80s teevee movie, trying to make something with substance and ending up cartoonish.
